HISC conducted worked with both terminal operator & the crane control system OEM to retrofit the PLC and CMS (Crane Management System) on a Ship To Shore (STS) crane whose control system components were in non-supported legacy status. Support included: selection of components, revision of schematics, validation of installation, technical & engineering support for commissioning process and final acceptance.
HISC has provided consulting support for one of our customers in the process of ordering the next generation of cranes for their terminal. The customer wanted to have the best blended mix of new technologies and existing highly reliable solutions.
HISC provided consulting services for the commissioning of cranes with new and retrofitted control systems and drives. HISC interfaced with the respective OEMS to collaborate with both union and non-union labor to complete the projects. HISC worked with terminal owner to manage punchlist and scope deviations to ensure OEM delivered the specified equipment in compliance with intent of the specification.
Customer has seen Key Performance Indicators on reliability decline. Customer requested a review of the crane condition and crane maintenance system. Our consulting services generated a review report based on the mechanical, electrical, control systems as well as the planned and responsive maintenance systems along with feedback and reporting of the same. Customer objectives are a value derived list of action items to increase crane performance as efficiently as possible.
